Cotati for years has had one of Sonoma County’s more thriving music scenes, as the downtown establishments have hosted numerous famous and not-so-famous musical acts.
The Cotati Historical Society provides an opporutnity to look back on the old days when it presents “Cotati’s Musical History” on Oct. 27, in the Cotati Room at the Ray Miller Community Center. The event runs from 7-9 p.m.
Part of the focus will be on former musical venues the Cotati Cabaret and the Inn of the Beginning. How the Cotati Accordion Festival got started will also be featured.
Admission is free, and refreshments will be served. For more information, call (707) 794-0304. The Ray Miller Community Center is located at 216 E. School St.
